Dr. Christa Kim is a native Texan and attended Greenhill School. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Tufts University in 1996. After graduating, she attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL and earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2000.
Dr. Kim made her home in the Chicago area for 7 additional years running 2 private offices. While she managed and cared for a wide variety of eye cases, Dr. Kim's desire was for a full service private practice. After moving back to Dallas, Custom Eyes opened in January 2009.
Dr. Kim’s passion is in family practice optometry. Her extensive training at VA hospitals and private practices has given her expertise in full scope care for patients of all ages, with an emphasis on glaucoma and contact lens management. She is board certified to diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the eye and use therapeutic and pharmacological agents. She is also certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Dallas County Optometric Society.
Dr. Kim loves spending time with family, playing piano, running, and eating good food. She is happily married to Daniel Lee and is blessed with three children, Lauren, Ayson, and Braden. Her faith and utmost devotion to God is the foundation for this practice. Dr. Kim's hope is that every person who walks through the door will be blessed.
